A very sweet and uplifting poem but this blissful picture of America, alas, only applies to a small minority of the population.

It's a personalized wealth appreciation, right? Many of the things in the poem can be enjoyed by anyone (jumping rope, making soup, the moon, the fact of trees, taxes, chubby kids). The point is, make a list of what makes you feel like you're rolling in it, America. What would be on YOUR list of "I'm so rich?" Thanks for reading and the compliment, Daniel N.

Beautiful poem! I appreciate al the ways you define wealth. We take so much for granted. From laughter, to fat baby cheeks, to libraries. and so on. Thank you for this reminder.
