Thank you, Dawn! You should know it is a thrill when I know you read my poems! But yes, those lines. I was pretty happy with myself with the (double negative ?) switcheroo on the trouble of "poems we didn't write," to unwritten poems causing NO trouble. Anyway, the WHOLE situation of MAGA is so ironic. They are killing greatness. They are creating a situation that may require violence. They are brilliantly always exactly lying and wrong in a way that seems to preempt or depress or preclude the proper response from us.
Like you, I believe the situation may require violence and appreciate your saying so out loud.
On a happy note, oh boy, "poems we didn't write" contrasted to "unwrittern poems." what I love about "unwritten poems" is that no one is held responsible for the unwrittenness. The poems are out there, in existence even when not mainifested on someone's laptop. And then "we don't believe that storming is a right"--damn. I could write a whole essay on that thought. (Thank you for being thrilled that I read your poems.)

I feel the same way, re poems—they do all exist somewhere already, in the ether! Sad when they go unwritten.
